The other side of the moon is not dark. People think that it is dark because there are many shapes that the moon can transform to such as waxing crescent, first quarter, waxing gibbous. The moon changes shape because the angle of the moon that is reflecting the sunlight is different every time, And yes the moon reflects the sunlight. The moon does not give any light itself.
The North Star/Polaris is the brightest star in the universe.
The north star is not the brightest star from the Northern Hemisphere since it may not even be visible there. The sun is by far the brightest star in the universe. If you’re wondering yes, the sun is a star.
